We see many ads and images of someone taking an iPhone 7 and dropping it over and over again and it doesn’t break. Now is this really true? Well as a iPhone repair shop owner here in Columbia City, In I can tell you this is far from the truth. Just a day after people have had the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in their warm little hands we have had people calling and walking in asking what a repair would cost for a broken screen. As we all know any new iPhone release the screen repair cost is crazy at first until more replacement parts are manufactured.
Now some of the good about the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is that they are now water- and dust-resistant with an IP67 rating. That means you’ll be able to take either of them under up to 1 meter of water for about 30 minutes. Now a warning to all of you that like to test this out. As soon as you crack your screen and get a replacement or have a bend in your phone your water resistance is compromised.
How about the fact that now the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus doesn’t have a headphone jack! That’s right, now when you buy a new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus you get a new set of ear buds that plug into your charge port. Your other option of course is to go wireless.
These are just a few things you will find with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Just be warned they aren’t as unbreakable as claimed to be.
